Academic program

Student with booksThe High School department at International School Yangon is driven by a team of teachers committed to inspiring each and every student to be ‘socially engaged, self-motivated creative and compassionate individuals.’

We offer a broad curriculum as a point of entry for our students to practice these essential character traits in their pursuit of becoming forces for positive change in their world.

With a strong core curriculum in mathematics, science, language arts and social studies, the high school program adds diversity of study by including several French, Spanish, Mandarin and extra support for those who speak English as a second language. In addition, drama, visual arts, film studies, physical education and technology courses are offered to support our student’s varied interests.

International School Yangon also offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme to provide our students with more rigorous and challenging opportunities to support their educational growth. New to our school, the IB Programme is recognized for its excellence by universities around the world. Click here for more information on the IB Programme.
