The school counselor is a student advocate who works cooperatively with other staff members as a team to ensure a positive learning environment. Emphasis is placed on having a balanced program that addresses a broad range of developmental needs. The guidance program at the International School Yangon follows the guidelines of the National Standards for School Counseling Programs. It supports students, parents, teachers and administration. The purpose of the program is to promote and enhance the learning process. I work with the school’s mission to support the academic achievement of all students as they prepare for the ever-changing world of the 21st century.
Its primary goal is enabling all students to achieve success in school.
